Crain 518 Stair Claw This tool provides a simple way to stretch carpet across the stair tread and form it around the stair nosing. Hook the gripper teeth in the carpet just ahead of the stair nosing, then pull the leverage handle down. Pulling action generated on teeth that stretches carpets across stair tread. At the same time, bottom edge of tool tucks carpet up under stair nosing. Recesses in bottom edge allows staple guns nose to be inserted for easy stapling.
